Psychologist - Mental Health Hospital

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide assistance in the delivery of psychological care plans under the guidance of specialized clinical psychology professionals in line with the standards of clinical practice, policies and procedures as well as regulating and accrediting bodies.
• Conduct protocol based psychological assessments by applying psychological test, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structure observations, and semi-structured interviews with the clients, family members and other involved mental healthcare team. Work with other staff to assess inpatient, outpatient, day patients or other agencies and schools.
• Provide assistance in the formulation and delivery of care plans involving psychological treatment and/or management of clients’ problems under the guidance of the specialized clinical psychology professionals.
• Gather and analyze data, write and update clients’ medical records in line with the department’s work flow practice and generate/summarize reports using IT and statistical programs.
• Provide assistance in the design and implementation of service development projects.
• Conduct research on evidence-based literature; assist qualified clinical psychology professionals in terms of practice in the related field either individual work or work with other team members.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of the highest professional standards of practice, through active participation in internal and external training and development programs in consultation with the senior clinical psychology professionals, team leaders or immediate supervisor.
• Attend all clinical, educational and patient welfare meetings, courses or symposia that are related within the assigned service area; support subordinate staff and interns/students in practicing the psychological care.
• Take active part in tutorial journal club, clinical presentation within the assigned service area. Comply with all the professional and ethical standards.
• Carry out all aspects of duties as specified by the assigned clinical psychology staff, team leaders and/or immediate supervisor which will meet both the work and training requirements.

Bachelor Degree in Psychology / Master Degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology
