ASSISTANT CONSULTANT ADULT HEMATOLOGY

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in providing patient care in Adult SCT, under the supervision of the most responsible physician (ward rounds, clinics, on-calls). Participate in consultations with other specialties in the hospital. 
• Assists in consultations with other specialties in the hospital.
• Perform bone marrow aspirates, biopsies, and other related procedures under the supervision of the MRP.
• Assists in doing bone marrow harvest procedures under the supervision of a consultant or associate consultant.
• Assists in prescribing and administering medications (chemotherapeutic agents), under the supervision of the MRP.
• Supervise stem cell collection and infusion. 
• Participate in the department/division educational activities (journal club, tumor board, lectures, etc.)
• Participate in the department/division research activities.
• Participate in the hospital/department committees upon request.
• Participate in the training and education of rotating residents and junior staff members.
• Perform and cover other duties as delegated by the chairman or division head
• Adhere strictly to all hospital policies and procedures.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Choose an item: A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution - E; A registered member of the Saudi Board Council; and Training Certificates in a specialist field - E; Fellowship in Hematology - P

Work Experience:

 Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in a recognized hospital/institution (post-Board)

Language and Computer Skills

English Language: Level 1-Essential

Arabic Language: Preferred

Computer: Level 2-Preferred
