ASSITANT CONSULTANT PLASTIC SURGERY

Main Responsibilities & Duties:

Undertakes clinical work in all areas of the surgical specialty under instruction and/or supervision of seniors/consultant.

Undertakes surgical procedures for which privileges have been granted but with the knowledge of the seniors/consultant. Has the privilege to open the theatre, as all appointees must be board certified.

Undertakes administrative duties as assigned by seniors including morbidity/mortality and quality improvement activities. Attend Section and Departmental meetings and represent Department in Committees as required.

Arrange equitable on-call rosters in consultation with seniors, peers and juniors to ensure adequate cover.

Responsible for instruction and teaching those in lower grades, residents and interns as required. Partakes in other educational activities.

Takes share of medical record work to generate quality records in a timely fashion.

Perform other job-related duties.

Education:

Graduate from a medical school recognized by NGHA

Successful completion of structured, accredited residency training program acceptable to NGHA

Certification by a board approved by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties and acceptable to NGHA

English Language:      Level – I – Essential

Arabic Language:        Preferred

Computer Skills:          Level – I – Essential
