Catheterization Laboratory Technologist II

• Responsible for assisting physicians with technical aspect of invasive cardiac diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including angioplasty, valvoplasty, coronary angiograms, mitralclip, TAVI, Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS), temporary pacemakers, pediatric device placements and other procedures as required.
• Ensure adequate medical supplies are available before starting procedure and report missing items to Operator and immediate supervisor.
• Assist in Rotablator procedure. Perform and analyze IVUS, Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR), Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) measurements and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP). Operate X-ray machine in Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) and perform quantitative coronary angiography (QCA) measurement during procedure.
• Enter data in clinical cardiac registries.
• Ensure safe and efficient working equipment, reporting faults and problems through the appropriate channels. Coordinate all technical activities involved in the operation and maintenance of catheterization equipment.
• Adhere to quality improvement to achieve optimal patient results. Perform all duties in line with standards of clinical practice, patient safety, policies and procedures, regulating and accrediting bodies.
• Assure archiving of performed procedure immediately to archiving system
• Perform other job related duties.
