Disaster Management Specialist

• Maintain and update all resource materials associated with disaster preparedness plans, outlining operating procedures to be used in response to disasters/emergencies. Responsible for organization-wide contingency plans in regards to disaster preparedness.
• Collaborate with hospital personnel and coordinate with outside agencies to ensure the implementation of a comprehensive and dynamic disaster preparedness program.
• Design and administer disaster preparedness training courses that support and provide a comprehensive training program to hospital personnel on how to effectively respond to emergencies/disasters.
• Organize disaster drills.
• Inspect facilities and equipment; ensure that physical requirements for a disaster response are operational and assess their functional capabilities in emergencies.
• Be fiscally responsible and suggest cost-saving measures in relation to disaster preparedness.
• Consult with committee members, nursing and medical services, task forces, etc., for continual improvements in the disaster preparedness and continuously improve disaster care standards.
• In collaboration with the Hospital's Fire department personnel, conduct hazard identification, capability assessment and vulnerability analysis that identify the hazards presenting the greatest dangers to KAMC.
• In association with other involved parties, coordinate disaster response and recovery activities.
• Conduct assessments regarding individual department disaster preparedness plans to ensure local contingency plans.
• Coordinate and arrange post-traumatic stress management program for staff involved in disaster.
• Coordinate meetings for disaster preparedness committee.
• Prepare report on disaster preparedness (quarterly and after each disaster evacuation/drill).
• Perform other job-related duties as required.

Basic Life Support (BLS), Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Essential
Valid Saudi Driving License – Essential 
Registration with Saudi Commission for Health Specialties – Essential 

Work Experience | Minimum of 6 (six) years position related experience or as Advanced Life Support (ALS) 
Paramedic in similar setting/environment – Essentia

English Language  – Essential

Computer : Level II – Essential
