Technical Support Specialist

• Conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems and to provide technical assistance and
support the end user.
• Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions and determine the best
solution based on the issues and details provided by the end-users.
• Provide accurate information on Information Technology (IT) products and services and record events, problems,
and their resolution in logs.
• Monitor IT service desk system and provide timely response to requests.
• Provide assistance as required to carry out planned and designed IT requirements for new projects and
expansions.
• Monitor and report health status of IT devices that may need possible replacement or upgrade.
• Install, repair and maintain computer hardware and software.
• Document problems and remedial actions taken of installation activities as required.
• Maintain up to date documentation related to work activities.
• Develop a sound knowledge of hospital standard personal computer application software.
• Follow all prescribed safety procedures.
• Perform other job related duties as required.

• Computer hardware/software, IT pheripherals (i.e. printer, network, etc.)
• Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases and remote control.
• All involved internal and external (disciplines), computer users
• Expected to use critical-thinking skills to reach objective conclusions

• Perpetual interaction with relevant stakeholders
• Prolonged use of phone and may require standby/overtime as needed
• May require to work on rotation schedule (day/night shifts)

Work Experience | Minimum of 3 years position related practical experience in similar setting/environment – Essential
