Job Description

Duties:

          To provide high-standards of care to Physiatry patients (adult and pediatric) in accordance with the MNGHA mission, vision and values in the Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation within the Department of Medicine.

 

 

          To provide inpatient care for the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation patients admitted to the hospital as the MRP or as the covering physician of the patient’s MRP.

 

 

          To provide care to Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation patients in the ambulatory care facility.  The duration and frequency of this service is dictated by the needs and the regulations of the Division, Department and the organization.

 

 

          To provide Physiatry consultation services to other divisions within the Department of Medicine and other departments within the organization during the regular working and the on-call hours.

 

 

          To perform diagnostic and/or therapeutic interventions and procedures on the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as rehabilitation services for which he/she has been granted specific privileges based on his/her training, qualifications, experience and skills.

 

 

          To participate in on-call coverage in accordance with the  rules and regulations of the Department of Medicine and Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

 

 

          To attend all the clinical, education, and patient welfare meeting of the Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as launched by the division.

 

 

          To optimally utilize resources, present continuous evidence of self-development and take part in Quality Improvement program of the Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the Department of Medicine.

 

 

          To provide close supervision of the clinical performance of subordinates especially those in training.

 

 

          To serve in organizational committees as appointed by the Head of Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and/or the Chairman, of Department of Medicine.

 

 

          To participate in scientific research applicable to Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, contribute into the organizational educational activities and post-graduate training programs and to serve in committees, multidisciplinary teams and taskforces as directed by the Head of Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Chairman of Department of Medicine or the Executive Management of the organization.

 

 

          To adhere to all rules and regulations of the organizations.  Consultants are expected to familiarize themselves and comply with both the APPs and IPPs

 

 

          To perform relevant duties and charges as directed by the Head of Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as the Chairman of the Department of Medicine.

 

 

          To comply with all the professional and ethical standards and express adherence to the Medical Staff By-laws and the By-laws of the organizations.

 

 

          To show the expected respect, at all times, to patient, their families, colleagues, subordinates and all other members of the health care team.

Bachelor Degree in  Medicine and Surgery. Graduate from a medical school recognized by MNGHA.  Successful completion of structures accredited Residency Training/Subspecialty Fellowship Program acceptable to the MNGHA.  Certification by the appropriate Specialty Board approved by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties and acceptable to the MNGHA.    from an accredited institution - Essential

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Work Experience

 

 

 

 

|    Total experience (training and post-training) should be equal to, or more than seven years.  Should have a minimum of two year experience in a tertiary care center after certification.  Of this, at least one year should be abroad in a program acceptable to the MNGHA.  Superior above average performance in areas of patient care and teaching/training activities.   - Essential       Productivity in medical research merits strong consideration.  Publications in peer-reviewed journals are highly desirable.  - Preferred
