Job Description
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for undertaking and administering a pre-planned physiotherapy treatment program to patients as assigned in line with the department’s standards, policies and procedures and accrediting bodies while monitoring patient’s progress.
- Document patient follow-up notes in Subjective, Objective, Assessment, Plan, Evaluation (SOAPE) format following the standards of clinical practice.
- Provide assigned Physiotherapist with feedback on patient progress and adjust treatment plan as instructed.
- Review and discuss the discharge plan of the patient with the assigned Physiotherapist.
- Deliver assistance equipment and support items (such as crutches, walkers, knee and lumbar support, etc.) for walk-in patients.
- Consult and liaise with assigned Physiotherapist to acquire resolution for issues relating to patient care.
- Provide treatment assistance for VIP’s and patients referred from the Business Centre.
- Participate in team activities and meetings, contributing input and feedback to support departmental activity.
- Prepare and submit daily statistics detailing patient workload as required.
- Comply with the Health Information System (e.g. BestCare) procedure utilizing appropriate methods of operation and technical requirements for patient registration.
- Maintain and ensure compliance with infection control protocols, emergency plans and safety standards.
- Ensure safe and efficient working equipment, reporting faults and problems through the appropriate channels.
- Perform other job related duties.
